The police

These people are always on the run,
they have no holidays,
they always carry a gun,
you are still not amazed.


They work for the people,
who barely even care,
we don't even notice,
what pain they have to bare.


The police are very dedicated,
though many are corrupt,
money isn't always the reason,
that they are so abrupt.


They get a very low salary,
and hence they take bribes,
but ultimately they are people,
with complex working lives.
